Disclosed is a field winding-type drive motor. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the field winding-type drive motor comprises: a rotation shaft which is arranged to be rotated around a lengthwise rotation center axis; a rotor which is arranged to be fixated to the rotation shaft at a predetermined distance in a rotation direction of the rotation shaft and has a shoe formed on an end portion thereof; a rotor coil which is wound around the rotor at a predetermined number of times; a stator which is arranged to have a predetermined gap from the rotor and to be fixated to have a gap predetermined in the rotation direction of the rotation shaft; and a stator coil which is wound around the stator at a predetermined number of times. A slit having predetermined width and depth may be formed in a predetermined location on the outside of the shoe of the rotor facing the stator. The present invention provides the field winding-type drive motor which can enhance quality of a vehicle by reducing rotation loss, vibration, and noise.
