The present invention relates to a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA)-based system for multilane over-speed regulation using a radar sensor and a low-resolution camera. According to the present invention, electromagnetic pulses are emitted by using a radar sensor, electromagnetic pulses reflected by vehicles running in a detection region on a multilane road are received, speeds of the vehicles are measured, and videos are photographed by using a low-resolution camera. When a vehicle violating a speed limit is detected by the radar sensor, an FPGA-based control unit compares the photographed videos at predetermined frame intervals, measures the speed of the vehicles, and extracts lanes of the vehicles, thereby regulating the vehicle violating the speed limit.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
