A conventional mobile coupon payment service has disadvantage in that since it is limited to a mobile phone of a user, the user cannot receive a coupon service when the user does not carry out the mobile phone or loses it, and needs to maintain a relatively high-priced mobile phone for a mobile coupon service. According to an embodiment of the present invention, there is proposed a coupon management service, in which a mobile coupon is stored in a separate device such as a USB memory stick and is used by a near field communication (NFC) function of a non-contact type, such as an NFC communication function, added to such a device, thereby facilitating issue and carrying of a mobile coupon, and simply applying a coupon during a payment. Further, according to an embodiment of the present invention, there is proposed a coupon management service, in which after a coupon is applied by the NFC function, a coupon application result is transmitted to a client terminal such as a desktop or a mobile phone such that the client terminal can update a users coupon information, thereby enabling continual management of the mobile coupon.
