The present invention relates to a rice plant, milyang299, with bakanae disease resistance and a breeding method thereof. The rice plant, milyang299, according to the present invention is a first Japonica rice plant having bakanae disease resistance by including a bakanae disease resistive gene qBK1 (bakanae disease resistance 1), wherein the plant can save costs for seed disinfection to prevent bakanae disease during cultivation of rice, but can also be applied as a cross-fertilizing sample for providing a qBK1 gene which is a bakanae disease-relating gene when bakanae disease-resistive species will be developed later.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
