The present invention relates to a smart phone character input preventing technology while driving of a vehicle. More specifically, the present invention relates to a smart phone character input preventing system, and the smart phone character input preventing method using an ultrasonic sensor and a smart phone. According to the present invention, the present invention can contribute to prevent, in advance, an accident by automatically switching a mode into a smart phone character input preventing mode when a driver sits on a driver′s seat. According to the present invention, the present invention provides convenience to the driver since the driver is not required to artificially operate extra smart phone sensors.
