The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a Bi-Te-based thermoelectric material. More particularly, the present invention provides a novel manufacturing method which can improve thermoelectric properties by controlling uniformity of ribbon composition by precisely controlling the temperature of a rapid solidification process (RSP) used when manufacturing a metallic ribbon. The method for manufacturing a Bi-Te-based thermoelectric material comprises steps of: (i) forming a master alloy ingot by dissolving and solidifying a raw material of the composition including one or more first elements selected from a group composed of Bi and Sb, and one or more second elements selected from a group composed of Te and Se; (ii) forming a metallic ribbon through the melt-spinning after dissolving the master alloy ingot by using a heating element; and (iii) grinding and compressing the metallic ribbon to form a preliminary molded body, and then compressing and sintering the preliminary molded body.
