The present invention relates to a method for preparing molybdenum trioxide from a molybdenum concentrate irrelevant to a content (a grade) of molybdenum. After a molybdenum concentrate is desulfurized using nitric acid and oxidized at the same time, a solution in which molybdenum acid is selectively dissolved by an ammonia solution (NH_4OH) is evaporated and concentrated at a low-temperature and a low-pressure, which is recovered as solid ammonium molybdate ((NH_4)_2MoO_4) to prepare molybdenum trioxide (MoO_3) by drying and pyrolysis. In addition, nitrogen oxide (NO_x gas) and ammonia (NH_3 gas) generated during a process are regenerated to be reused in the process, molybdenum is recovered from a generated waste liquid, and sulfuric acid generated during the process is removed and recovered as gypsum at the same time. Therefore, according to the present invention, high purity molybdenum trioxide from a molybdenum concentrate can be prepared at a high yield.
