APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MAPPING ETHERNET ADDRESS FOR INTERWORKING OF CAN BUS

The present invention is to provide an Ethernet address mapping apparatus and method for interworking of a CAN bus, which converts and maps addresses between a CAN node and an Ethernet node in order to transceive data between the CAN node which uses a CAN interface, and the Ethernet node which uses an Ethernet interface. To this end, the present invention includes a mapping device which transmits a guide message, for requesting an arbitrary CAN ID to be registered, to the Ethernet node, generates an address conversion table mapping a CAN bus ID received from the Ethernet node with an Ethernet address using an index of the CAN ID as an index, and connects the CAN bus ID, corresponding to the index generated in the address conversion table, to the Ethernet address of the Ethernet node which requests data to be received from the CAN ID. Thus, the present invention has an advantage of enabling a gateway to convert and map the addresses between the CAN node and the Ethernet node to transceive data between the CAN node which uses the CAN interface, and the Ethernet node which uses the Ethernet interface.
