According to the present invention, an audio apparatus for inducing a brain wave using a binaural beat comprises: a frequency shifting unit to receive a first audio source signal to generate a second audio source signal by shifting a portion of the frequency band of the first audio source signal by a prescribed frequency; an audio output unit connected to the frequency shifting unit to output a first audio output signal and a second audio output signal corresponding to the first audio source signal and the second audio source signal; and a control unit to change at least one of the portion of the frequency band and the prescribed frequency according to an operation of a user or a predetermined setting. Accordingly, the present invention applies a binaural beat to an audio signal, particularly to a specific frequency band of an audio signal to induce a desired brain wave, thereby allowing the user to listen to a music signal or an audio signal for learning without recognizing distortion of a sound source to induce the desired brain wave without being repulsive or dull.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
