SKULL SUBSTITUTES FOR MONITORING BRAIN SYSTEM AND DELIVERING MATERIALS INTO BRAIN TISSUE AND USES THEREOF

The present invention relates to a skull substitute composed of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), and to a method for monitoring the body tissue in the skull by using the same. The monitoring method using the skull substitute of the present invention is capable of minimizing the effects of a flow of the cerebrospinal fluid and the intracranial pressure in comparison with the conventional cranial window method using glass. The method as a method for clearly visualizing the body tissue in the skull can be efficiently used as a method for monitoring the body tissue in the skull.
