Provided in the present invention is a composite material comprising a biodegradable polymer and hydroxyapatite, wherein the hydroxyapatite is hydrophobized hydroxyapatite. The composite material comprising a biodegradable polymer and hydroxyapatite is used as a material of a dental and orthopedic screw or plate by having improved tensile strength by comprising the hydrophobized hydroxyapatite.
