摘要

The present invention relates to a method to measure a distance of a marine object using a vertical angle per pixel of a camera. The method comprises: a fixated constant/information input step of receiving an installation height, a vertical angle of view, and a vertical resolution of the camera installed in a height from a preset sea level in an observation place and used to measure a distance, and calculates and stores the vertical angle per pixel; a horizon detection step of detecting the horizon from an image taken by the camera in the observation place; an object sea level boundary detection step of detecting the boundary of the object and water surface which is the water surface where the marine object is located, and a position thereof from an image including a marine object which is a target object photographed by the camera; a horizon and object water surface boundary distance calculation step of calculating the distance between a water surface boundary of the object and the horizon; and an object distance calculation step of calculating the distance from the observation place to the marine object from the installation height of the camera, the vertical angle per pixel, and the distance between the horizon and the water surface boundary of the object.
