The present invention provides a method to modify a surface property of a metal implant, comprising a step of performing a microblasting treatment on a surface of the metal implant manufactured by molding a metal material by a 3D printing method. In case of using the method to modify the surface property of the metal implant in accordance with the present invention, surface roughness and compressive strength of the metal implant manufactured using a 3D printer are greatly improved. Also, in case of using the method to modify the surface property of the metal implant in accordance with the present invention, it is possible to provisionally remove a combined powder which can easily be separated by external stresses and residual powders existing on the surface of the metal implant manufactured using 3D printing; thereby ensuring safety of a human body insertion type metal implant. As such, the method to modify the surface property of the metal implant in accordance with the present invention is able to be applied to the human body insertion type metal implant, a customized implant for orthopedics, and more specifically to a cranial implant.
