The present invention relates to a socket outlet for automatically intercepting standby power by using a working current measuring algorithm and a method for measuring the working current. The socket outlet for automatically intercepting standby power by using a working current measuring algorithm according to the present invention includes: a circuit section which is equipped with an MCU to which the working current measuring algorithm is provided to comprise a standby power intercepting circuit and a power supplying circuit; a main body section which has a power terminal which is connected to the power supplying circuit of the circuit section to supply operating power inside; and a socket outlet section which is equipped with a power supplying control switch which is combined with the front surface of the main body section to supply, when connection terminals of a plug are inserted, the connection terminals of the plug with the operating power via the power terminal of the main body section and simultaneously operate the standby power intercepting circuit which constitutes the circuit section, and completely intercept the power applied to the standby power intercepting circuit and the power supplying circuit which constitute the circuit section when the connection terminals of the plug are not inserted. Therefore, the present invention is capable of reducing the size of the socket outlet for intercepting the standby power which is buried in a wall inside a building because the present invention is equipped with the MCU to which the working current measuring algorithm is provided, completely intercepting the standby power when the connection terminals of the plug are not connected to the socket outlet by using a safety pin and the power supplying control switch installed inside the socket outlet and providing the socket outlet for automatically intercepting the standby power by using the working current measuring algorithm which can accurately measure the working current and the method for measuring the working current.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
