SEAMLESS PIPE HOT EXTRUSION METHOD OF THIN THICKNESS

The present invention relates to a seamless pipe hot extrusion method of a thin thickness, comprising: a first step of cutting a billet at a proper length; a second step of processing an edge of the cut billet; a third step of performing a boring operation in the billet having the processed edge; a fourth step of heating the bored billet at a high temperature; and a fifth step of producing the billet heated at the high temperature into a pipe of a desirable diameter using a mandrel. More specifically, the present invention relates to a seamless pipe hot extrusion method of a thin thickness which prevents a fore end of a pipe having the thin thickness, produced by a hot extrusion, from bursting out using a mandrel where a stepped jaw is formed on a part separated from the fore end at a predetermined distance such that the diameter of a rear end is longer than the diameter of the fore end during the process of the fifth step. The seamless pipe hot extrusion method of a thin thickness has remarkable effects of preventing the fore end of the pipe from bursting out when producing a thin pipe using the mandrel where an end is formed; reducing a friction of a material, the mandrel, and dies by lowering an initial load during the extrusion; and lengthening the span of tools (mandrel, dies).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
