The present invention relates to a mobile terminal for providing the function of an application installed in the mobile terminal through a shortcut icon disposed on top of the mobile terminal and a mobile terminal for providing an instant service by using the same. The present invention to achieve this purpose comprises a layer generation unit which generates a first layer corresponding to a first application and a second layer corresponding to a second application, wherein the first application and the second application are installed in the mobile terminal; a multi-layer management unit which disposes the first layer selected by a user on the top of the other first layer among the multiple first layers when the multiple first layers are generated by the layer generation unit and disposes the second layer on the top of the first layer; a layer display unit which displays an execution screen of the first application on the first layer, displays a predefined shortcut icon for providing the function of the second application on the second layer, composes the first layer and the second layer, and displays the same on the screen of the mobile terminal; and a command processing unit which processes the command of the application corresponding to the first layer and the second layer. According to the present invention, the function provided by the application is easily used through the shortcut icon on top even the layer is changed due to the execution of the other application by arranging the shortcut icon providing the function of a frequently used specific application on the top layer.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
