The present invention relates to a system for estimating a state of the performance of a battery by using battery model parameters, according to an embodiment of the present invention. The system comprises: a battery model parameters extracting unit for extracting parameters for the moving speed of lithium ion; a storing unit for storing a mapping table where a state of health (SOH) is mapped according to the parameters for the moving speed of the lithium ion; and an SOH estimating unit for estimating the SOH corresponding to the moving speed of the lithium ion extracted by the battery model parameters extracting unit. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a system for estimating the state of the performance of a battery by using battery model parameters and a method thereof capable of estimating the state of the battery by using the parameters for the moving speed of the lithium ion.
