The present invention relates to a nitrogen generation system for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier ship including an oxygen compression apparatus. The nitrogen generation system extracts nitrogen from air in the atmosphere and supplies oxygen compressed at high concentrations, which are generated by compressing surplus oxygen, to a combustion apparatus such as an engine or an incinerator or to other locations needing the compressed oxygen to recycle the surplus oxygen obtained through a nitrogen generation apparatus, thereby saving energy. Accordingly, the nitrogen generation system, which includes the nitrogen generation apparatus extracting high concentration nitrogen by taking in air from the atmosphere, includes the oxygen generation apparatus (200) which generates the compressed oxygen by compressing surplus oxygen after extracting nitrogen from the air through the nitrogen generation apparatus (100).
