The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for selecting relay nodes of a cooperative spatial multiplexing system considering forwarding errors, which draw minimum mean squared error (MMSE) filters for the channel information of receiving signals considering latent errors in forward signals relay by a plurality of relay nodes, draw the ranking of signal-to-interference plus noise ratios (SINR) based on relation formulas predetermined for the drawn MMSE filters, and select an optimal relay node based on the drawn SINR ranking, thereby reducing decoding errors in the receiving signals in which forward errors received from the relay nodes are reflected, add the SINR ranking to an added relay node by a greedy approach algorithm, and select a suboptimal relay node based on the added SINR ranking, thereby fundamentally reducing computational complexity and time for selecting an optimal relay node. The apparatus includes a channel information receiving unit, an MMSE filtering receiving unit, an SINR drawing unit, an optimal relay node setting unit, and a suboptimal relay node setting unit.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
