An electronic scoring system for use in a variety of martial arts (including traditional martial art styles, mixed martial arts, weapon based martial arts, mixed weapon based martial arts or generally martial arts). The scoring system makes it possible to objectively determine force, position and effectiveness against forces applied during a match without requiring an electronic weapon.
