The present invention relates to a method for preparing porous aluminosilica and porous aluminosilica obtained thereby. Particularly, the method for preparing porous aluminosilica comprises the steps of: dispersing crystalline aluminosilicate into a solution and adding an acidic solution thereto to carry out acid treatment (step 1); adding a basic solution to the aluminosilicate subjected to acid treatment in step 1 to carry out gelation (step 2); and subjecting the aluminosilicate gelled in step 2 to hydrothermal synthesis to obtain aluminosilica powder (step 3). The method for preparing aluminosilica allows easy control of the particle size distribution and pore volume of porous aluminosilica. It is possible to obtain porous aluminosilica having a desired aluminum/silicon ratio by using a crystalline aluminosilicate compound having a predetermined molar ratio of aluminum to silicon as a starting material and selecting a crystalline aluminosilicate compound having an aluminum/silicon ratio suitable for a particular use.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
