The present invention relates to a large winch for a marine crane with improved brake performance. The present invention is able to improve brake performance and speed reduction performance when reducing the speed of a winding drum by: controlling the rotation of the winding drum as a caliper brake, which is a primary brake device, is attached to a gear disk rotating with a drive motor by a hydraulic pressure; efficiently controlling the rotation of the winding drum through a hydraulic pressure by a band brake which is a secondary brake device; and preventing the reverse rotation of the winding drum as a ratchet brake unit, which is a tertiary brake device, attaches a pawl to a ratchet wheel through a hydraulic pressure.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
