The present invention relates to a roll generating method for application awareness and a roll generating apparatus for application awareness. The roll generating method for application awareness according to the present invention may include the steps of: determining a packet where an application generating a first packet is distinguished, in the first packet, as a second packet; determining a packet belonging to a protocol group where a protocol of the application is fixed, in the second packet, as a third packet; and generating a roll related with awareness of the application, by using the third packet. The roll generating method of the present invention can reduce false detection and un-detection as to the generated roll, by distinguishing all information as to all packets generated in the application.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
