The present invention relates to a method for preparing aragonite type precipitated calcium carbonate through a carbonation process using MgCl_2 and CO_2 gas alone by using dolomite firing furnace dust. The present invention provides a method for preparing precipitated calcium carbonate using dolomite firing furnace dust, which comprises the steps of: firing dolomite dust in a vertical type firing furnace; hydrating the fired dolomite dust; classifying the hydrated dolomite dust, followed by solid-liquid separation and drying; adding the dried dolomite dust to a MgCl_2 solution; and introducing CO_2 gas to the MgCl_2 solution to which the dolomite dust is added to carry out carbonization.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
