The present invention relates to a video annotation system. The video annotation system is configured to define a video sentence and a video paragraph by a new video indexing unit, and perform indexing by the video sentence and the video paragraph unit. The video sentence means a video section that one narrator explains with a voice by one sentence unit through one or several shots, and the video paragraph means a section that several narrators speak with one sub-theme, which consists of one ore more video sentences, wherein the section remains until the sub-theme is changed to another theme. An indexing method according to the present invention has a hierarchical structure, whereby search for each theme with respect to one episode can be efficiently performed, based on medical explanation and the sub-theme.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
