The present invention relates to an evaporator for an air conditioner with superhydrophilic and superhydrophobic surface and a manufacturing method thereof. More particularly, a superhydrophilic and superhydrophobic coating film including poly (N-isopropylacrylamide) compound terminated in a carboxylic acid derivative is formed on an uneven aluminum surface and condensed water is easily discharged by the superhydrophilic coating film at low temperature depending on a temperature, thereby enhancing heat exchange performance and reducing the remaining time of the condensed water at high temperature by the superhydrophobic coating film.
