PURPOSE: A meaning-based search device, a method, a server for providing metadata based on a meaning, and method for operating the same are provided to find a desired target even if a user memorizes only simple and indirect related information by interacting various types of information which is included in various types of content based on the meaning.;CONSTITUTION: A storage(320) stores an associative search structure which is stored according to a meaning based index structure. The meaning based index structure includes a feature metadata index, a semantic entity metadata index which expresses conceptual entities corresponding to the feature metadata, and a semantic relation metadata index which expresses relations between conceptual entities. A controller(310) uses the meaning based metadata and the associative search structure and generates a search result corresponding to a final search target about a search query.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
