摘要
1. A functionalized biocompatible nanoparticle that can penetrate the membrane of a mammalian cell and deliver many bioactive molecules to modulate cell function, including: a central nanoparticle with a size in the range from 5 to 50 nm, which has a polymer coating, many functional groups covalently attached to the polymer coating where many bioactive molecules attached to many functional groups, and where many bioactive molecules includes at least a peptide or protein ok, and where the peptide is able to penetrate the membrane of a mammalian cell and penetrate the cell, and where the protein is able to provide new functionality inside the cell2. The functionalized biocompatible nanoparticle according to claim 1, wherein the nanoparticle comprises iron. The functionalized biocompatible nanoparticle of claim 2, wherein the peptide is attached to a protein. The functionalized biocompatible nanoparticle of claim 3, wherein the peptide and protein are each connected to the nanoparticle via one or more inserted linker molecules. The functionalized biocompatible nanoparticle according to claim 1, wherein the peptide comprises from five to nine basic amino acids. The functionalized biocompatible nanoparticle of claim 1, wherein the peptide comprises nine or more basic amino acids. The functionalized biocompatible nanoparticle of claim 5, wherein the protein is a transcription factor. The functionalized biocompatible nanoparticle according to claim 7, wherein the transcription factor is selected from the group consisting of Oct4, Sox2, Nanog, Lin28, cMus and Klf4.9. A method for changing cellular functionality within a mammalian cell
