A medium-term earthquake prediction method, characterized in that daily intake of water in the deep water of Lake Baikal and in the water of two self-flowing wells makes it possible to quickly observe helium concentrations in the water, according to which graphs of their changes are built, correlation coefficients of concentrations between the points of water intake are calculated, and indicator functions are calculated and an integrated indicator function that allows you to objectively evaluate changes in concentrations over time due to changes in stress The state of the earth’s crust and, as a consequence, the preparation of the centers of earthquakes, excluding, at the same time, the influence of other factors, among which “astronomically accurate” - tidal processes, “less accurate” - seasonal fluctuations and “very random” - fluctuations related with changing weather and thereby predict the time of occurrence of earthquakes in a few days or weeks.
