Device for regulating the speed of the traction motor is designed for a smooth change of the supply voltage and to maintain the excitation current at a predetermined level in the range of power supply termination due to separation of the susceptor. The excitation winding (2) momentarily connects the traction motor to a power source through the key fully controllable semiconductor element (4). Upon termination of the traction motor power supply after occurrence of the power supply voltage fully controllable semiconductor element (4) carries the excitation winding of the power source. After magnetizing the field winding core fully controllable semiconductor element (4) is locked and starts a pulse converter (3), 1-yl.
