The method of determining the coefficient of stacked-volume ratio of industrial chips in piles of open storage at sites is designed depending on the height of the chips pile, its grain and species composition, moisture content and season of harvesting, the supplied timber. The linear dimensions of the pile of chips are measured with an accuracy of 1%. Specification of the coefficient of stacked-volume ratio of chips makes it possible to obtain reliable results in volumes of industrial chips in piles at the time of their measurement.EFFECT: ensuring reliability of specification of the coefficient of stacked-volume ratio of industrial chips in piles at industrial sites with reasonable accuracy (standard error of the regression equation is 0,0358 at 95% of the prediction of specification K).2 tbl
