METHOD FOR DETERMINING EXAMINATION TECHNIQUE APPLICABLE FOR PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE PULMONARY DISEASE (COPD)

FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: what is used is a tray for patient's testing with presenting a patient a questionnaire containing indicators of scales characterising his/her current health and reflecting the respiratory health. The examined patient uses an indicator arrow to select scores for the following parameters characterising headache or facial pain, nasal blockage, nasal discharge, sense of smell, clearness of voice, globus pharyngeus, voice change after speaking for more than 30 minutes, dry and irritated throat. Depending on the total score, the patient is suggested to consult an otolaryngologist, which is added with a nasal examination by means of a rigid endoscope, computer tomography of paranasal sinuses, anterior active rhinomanometry, and sense of smell examination; alternatively, the consultation by an otolaryngologist is added with fibrolaryngoscopy, stroboscopic analysis of vocal cords, and voice spectrum analysis.;EFFECT: method enables providing the higher effectiveness of the examination technique in the patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease by the simultaneous assessment of upper and lower airway health.;6 tbl, 1 ex
