This invention consists in that method of determining raw material sources for archaeological ceramic artefacts involves x-ray exposure of the analysed material, diagrams of thermo stimulated luminescence irradiated material. Preliminary samples of ceramic articles and sample of clay material from the assumed sources of raw materials without release of mono-fractions of quartz, then graphics thermo stimulated luminescence in the temperature range of 20-500 °C for samples, irradiated without preliminary calcining (ITL1), and for samples, irradiated after preliminary calcining test material to temperature of 500 °C (ITL2), and similarity of thermo stimulated luminescence intensity values of irradiated material in samples of ceramic articles and samples of clay material in temperature range of 100-200 °C (ITL1 and ITL2) and at similarity relations ITL1/ITL2 in samples of ceramic articles and samples of clay material is determined source raw material for analysed archaeological artefacts.;EFFECT: technical outcome is rapid and reliable determination of raw material sources for ceramic artefacts.;1 cl, 4 dwg, 2 tbl
