METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF INCREASING ARTERIAL STIFFNESS IN PATIENTS WITH HIGH AND VERY HIGH CARDIOVASCULAR RISK AND RECEIVING STATIN THERAPY

FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to cardiology, and can be used for prediction of increasing arterial stiffness in patients with high and very high cardiovascular risk and receiving statin therapy. Task is solved by determining in blood serum secretory phospholipase A2 (sPLA2) before beginning statin therapy. At initial value of patient's blood serum sPLA2 equal 7.69 ng/ml or higher, a higher arterial stiffness is predicted for 6 months from beginning of statin therapy. At initial value sPLA2 equal 4.09 ng/ml or less, absence of increasing arterial stiffness is predicted for 6 months of statin therapy.;EFFECT: proposed method allows predicting high arterial stiffness in given group of patients by using a new blood biomarker correcting therapy and reduce residual cardiovascular risk.;1 cl, 2 ex
