METHOD FOR CHOOSING THERAPEUTIC APPROACH TO DOUBLE-SIDED OBSTRUCTION OF URETERS IN CHILDREN WITH CLINICAL SIGNS OF DISTURBED URINE OUTFLOW

FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in differential diagnostics of morpho-functional condition and integrity of kidneys' functional reserves at double-sided obstruction of ureters in children. There is performed ultrasonography of kidneys with determination of their volume (V kp). Taking into account the child's height and age, there is calculated the reference kidney volume (V kr). There is calculated volume coefficient of each kidney (Ckv) by formula: $Ckv=\frac{Vkp}{V\text{ kr}},\mathop{\mathrm{image}}$ where Ckv is the kidney volume coefficient; V kp is the volume of the patient's kidney, mm³; V kr is reference kidney volume, mm³. Accepted as the standard volume is Ckv equal to 1.0. At Ckv more than 1.0, but less or equal to 1.8, conservative treatment is performed.
