Calculated is the concentration of the plugging gas in the air-gas mixture in percentage by formula: P = 772.5e-0.0217μ and the volume of the air-gas mixture, in ml, is calculated by formula: V = 0.042d2h(3.5-0.013μ) where P is the concentration of the plugging gas,%; µ is the molar mass of the plugging gas, g/mol; V is the volume of the air-gas mixture, ml; d is the diameter of the retina rupture, mm; h is the height of the retinal detachment, mm; e is mathematical constant of natural logarithm base (exponent).;EFFECT: method enables more effective surgical management due to increased accuracy of selection of concentration and volume of a gas tamponade.;1 cl, 2 ex
