The kinetic energy recovery system of the moving masses can be installed on mechanical presses with a strong inertia kinematic chain, equipped with a clutch (03) and a brake (05). The system transforms the kinetic energy of the moving masses into electrical energy at each stroke of the press. The kinetic energy recovery system is composed of motor-generators (15) which, fixed on the brake side (05), are connected to the eccentric shaft (07) and therefore to the whole kinematic chain. An electric device (11) through a bidirectional feeding system attenuates the peaks with its own storage system by supplying electric current to the main motor (01) and introducing the excess in the network.
