A touch display screen comprising: an upper transparent substrate (41); a lower transparent substrate (42) facing the upper substrate (41); a backlight unit (50) having an infrared light source (IR LED) configured to radiate infrared light in a first direction through the upper substrate (41); a transparent window (W) disposed between the upper and lower substrates (41, 42) in alignment with the infrared light source (IR LED); wherein a part of the infrared light irradiated in the first direction is reflected back through an object contacting a surface of the upper transparent substrate (41) in a second direction through the upper substrate (41) and the transparent window (W); a pixel region on the lower substrate (42), comprising a pixel thin film transistor (TFT1) configured to activate a pixel electrode (PXLE); and an infrared light detection thin film transistor (IR TFT) formed on the lower substrate (42) and in the pixel region configured to receive the one in the second direction through the upper substrate (41) and the transparent window (W) Detecting an infrared light and then outputting an infrared light detection signal; a liquid crystal layer (LC) formed between the upper transparent substrate (41) and the lower transparent substrate (42), the lower transparent substrate (42) comprising: a plurality of Data lines (DL) to which a data voltage is applied; a plurality of gate lines (GL) arranged to intersect the data lines (DL) and to be sequentially supplied with a scan pulse; a plurality of read lines (ROL) arranged parallel to the data lines (DL) and configured to receive an infrared radiation detection signal corresponding to infrared light not emitting from the upper transparent substrate (41); wherein the pixel electrode (PXLE) is formed in the pixel region defined by the data line (DL), the gate line (GL) and the readout line (ROL); wherein a plurality of pixel thin film transistors (TFT1) are respectively formed in a cut portion of the gate lines (GL) for supplying the data voltage to the pixel electrode (PXLE) in response to the scanning pulse; ...
