The invention relates to a method for classifying of a mixture of substances by means of at least a predetermined classification criterion, comprising the steps of:a) receiving a the mixture of respective first measuring data set (10) by means of a first measuring method;b) receiving at least one the mixture of relevant, independent further measuring data set (12) by means of a further measurement method;c) at least partial combining said first (10) and of the at least one further measuring data set (12) to form a combined measuring data record (14);d) classifying of the mixture of materials by comparing the combined measuring data set (14) in its entirety with a database comprising known combined set of measuring data for a plurality of mixtures of substances with a known classification.
