An inner shoe brake has expanding piston (17) for pushing apart opposite brake shoes (2). Within each expansion piston (17) is in each case an adjusting pin (30) arranged axially movable, which presses via a pressure piece (34) against a brake shoe web (4). The pressure piece (34) is supported by means of a ball joint on all sides pivotally mounted on the adjusting bolt. In order to prevent an undesired rotation of the adjusting pin (30) within the expander piston (17), an anti-rotation device is provided which has a over the ball joint surface (36) of the pressure piece (34) projecting pressure piece extension (39), the form-fitting with lateral play in a receiving opening (40) of the adjusting bolt (30) engages to form a rotary coupling connection.
