An electric motor has a connector unit which is connected to a terminal which is attached to the end of a winding wire by electro-compression. The connection has a pipe section into which the end of the winding wire is inserted and which is formed by electro-compression. The length of the pipe section in a plane perpendicular to the insertion direction of the winding wire in a first direction is substantially equal to the length in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction.
