The invention relates to a marker system comprising the components - (A) (aminoalkylaminoalkylmethoxysiloxane) -dimethylsiloxane copolymer - (B) at least one alcohol - (C) at least one metal cation in the form of a salt, and the combination of the marker system with organosilicon hydrophobing agents or the use of the marker system for determining the penetration depth of organosilicon hydrophobing agents in mineral materials.
