MOBILE AND TRANSPORTABLE DEVICE FOR THE PROTECTION OF COASTAL AREAS AGAINST STORM CONSEQUENCES AND THE PROLIFERATION OF GREEN ALGAE

The invention relates to a mobile and transportable device for protecting coastal areas from the effects of storms and the proliferation of green algae, comprising four main independent elements that cooperate with each other: a fishing net preferably of the oceanic tuna boat seine net type (1); a set of floating units (2) for holding said fishing net (1) at the surface; a connecting element set (3) for keeping said fishing net (1) attached to the ocean floor; and a set of submerged anchors (4) for locally holding said fishing net (1) in position. The device acts as an obstacle in the event of storms and limits the proliferation of algae by enabling the algae to attach themselves to the device during the winter period. The device and algae are removed at the beginning of the summer period, and the algae disappear.
