The present invention relates to a process for the production of granules, sticks and similar products from at least one plant material in a wet. Said method is characterized in that it comprises the steps consisting in: - a) is subjected, if necessary, said plant materials having a moisture content by weight of less than or equal to 70% to a grinding step, - b) are added to said fibers a mash of material (s), plant (s) pre - dried (s) in order to obtain a mixture having a degree of humidity resulting weight of less than or equal to 30%, - c) to compress and the mixture is heated previously obtained by passing it through an extruder, so that the temperature of the latter is between 40°C. and 450°C. in the extruder, - d) to bring the hot mixture in a mill where, during the bursting of the fibers, the residual water present in said mixture is suddenly evaporated, by causing any corrosive gases, and for which the components of cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin present in the hot mixture undergo a transformation to extemaliser the hydrophobic groups initially internal to said components, until the level of moisture by means of the mixture is ground and an exploded view is less than or equal to 20%, and - e) to form the mixture is dried previously obtained only by mechanical compression in order to obtain the desired granules.
