All of the inertial flywheels products and currently used by the world have physical characteristics (size, the nature of the materials used, the mass), which determine the moment of inertia as soon as their design. However, it may encounter situations where the moment of inertia, initially, is not appropriate if it is desired to vary the kinetic energy of the inertial flywheels rotating at a certain angular velocity or to vary the latter. The present invention discloses a system entirely mechanical, which makes it possible to store an optimum manner the energy of the inertial flywheels kinetic by variation of their moment of inertia. The variation of the moment of inertia of the wheels is effected by means of two devices can be simultaneously used: - a dense fluid contained in a cylinder, under the effect of centrifugal force takes the form of a paraboloid, and its mass is displaced radially. - the momentum wheels are constituted by pairs of moving radially. These devices cannot be used only if the axis of rotation is strictly vertical.
