A method of displaying on HMD in augmented reality the image of a camera and data of other sensors. An HMD is a transparent or semi-transparent screen disposed in front of at least one eye, allowing information to be displayed directly in the user's field of view. The object of the method is to visualize, through an HMD, at least one representation of the images of a camera with a telephoto lens with fixed or variable focal length or a thermal camera. The interest of the method is to increase the user's viewing ability so as to view the infrared radiation or details by magnification of a narrow field of view. The method includes correcting the parallax effect and managing the field of view of the camera within the field of view of the HMD by means of a telemetric sensor and / or position sensors (gyroscopes). It allows to position, size and display the frame representing the field of view of the camera. It offers a view of the enlarged image on the periphery of the HMD or a representation inside the frame. A specific thermal camera treatment draws a representation in the form of isothermal contour lines. A superposition of the curves in the field of vision allows to enrich the perception, while preserving the natural vision of colors and details. The method is connected to: an HMD, at least one camera, a communication device, a control interface, other sensors to display their data in the HMD.
