The technical sector concerned is that of the cable, employing in particular "lyre" assemblers, and more specifically the manufacture of special "fire-resistant" cables. The invention relates to a method (and suitable machines and equipment) for the manufacture of "mica" tape-type fireproof cable comprising an ALDT double-twisted-link assembly line, BF strands or wires from at least one unwinder, and at least one unwinder DM of mica tape RM, possibly two, carried out in a single step and on a single production line in which the mica tape (s) is (are) deposited on the strand and undergoes said double twist with the strand in said collator. Reduced number of joints, reduced stress on the mica tape, better productivity, better final quality, reduced costs and production time.
