The method comprising using a number of joined garages with three external brick built walls 24, 26. 29 and at least one dividing internal brick wall. The garage also includes a roof covering and a planar floor. The method includes removing the roof and one internal wall leaving the external walls and the floor. A front wall is installed including a door and a window. A roof and interior is fitted to the exterior walls. The roof may be sloped and extends from one shorter end to another shorter end, the roof may also be pitched. The roof may include a vertical portion which includes a window. Also claimed is a residential property.
