The bay (14) has an automated processing device (16) for automated processing of a luggage (10). The processing device comprises automated arms (40) for handling the luggage, where each automated arm is movable in longitudinal translations (T1) parallel to a longitudinal axis (L14) of the bay. The automated arms comprise a gripping head (42) for gripping the luggage and are movable in one of the longitudinal translations parallel to a transverse axis (T14) of the bay. A floor (72) of the bay comprises a conveyor (74) that is placed parallel to the longitudinal axis of the bay.
