A method and a system of controlling a home wireless system wherein the home wireless system comprises a plurality of peripheral wireless nodes (14; 16; 19; 21; 23) and a first gateway (12) having wireless communication means for communicating with. Further steps are determining a delay in each of said gateways, sending after said delay from the gateway a request message, and completing the link establishment process by responding in said peripheral wireless node (14; 16; 19; 21; 23) to the request message received from the gateway responding after the shortest delay, said peripheral wireless node (14; 16; 19; 21; 23) then being bound to the gateway responding after the shortest delay. Each gateway of the system comprises wireless communication means (40) for communicating with wireless peripheral nodes and a central unit (44) arranged to apply the delay.
